MARIE-CLAIRE GEACH – SENIOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

Qualifications: Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (Hons), University of New South Wales

Specialisation / Background: Concept design, Biophilia, Indoor Plant Design, Therapeutic Landscapes, Graphic Communication and Placemaking.

Over the past 6 years, Marie-Claire has been actively involved in a variety of projects including mixed-use residential, public domain, health, master planning and transport infrastructure. Marie-Claire’s experience includes research & concept design through to contract documentation. Marie-Claire’s strength lies in her ability to consolidate and communicate baseline information through engaging and informative graphics. Marie-Claire has returned to Sym Studio following 2 years working as a Landscape Architect at HASSELL.

Marie-Claire’s philosophy focuses on a holistic approach to the design process that is inclusive, visually engaging and prioritises the contribution of the community as well as multidiscipline professionals. With a background in creative arts and sculpture Marie-Claire brings a unique design aesthetic born out of her personal interest for public art, interior landscapes and the design of therapeutic spaces that improve wellbeing.

Born and bred in Sydney’s northern beaches, Marie-Claire has a strong love for the natural environment. Her interests and experience in curating inform her unique design sensibilities.

In her current role as Senior Landscape Architect, Marie-Claire fullfills the project contact role while providing input to designs, directing concept generation, coordinating graphic visualization and the review and assembling of documentation packages.
